Principal's Message

"One child, one teacher, one pen and one book can change the world" - Malala Yousafzai

Change is the motto of my leadership in the Abdul Bari Memorial College. I joined A.B.M. College in January 2023 as the Principal after serving as Associate Professor for the Department of Hindi in Jamshedpur Co-operative College. When I came here, I brought with me not only my appointment letter but a lot of dreams, aspirations and determination.

The potential that this college and its students have is beyond expression. It is my aim and purpose to build a cordial environment throughout the college for exchange of ideas amongst students beyond lines of class, caste, gender and age. I wish to build an environment where students (both young men and women) can learn, play and develop together as friends, helping, supporting and standing by each other through thick and thin.

Education, here, in A.B.M. College should transgress the boundaries of grades and marks, students get a safe space to practice their virtues, learn values, and grow into responsible, sensing, confident, hardworking citizens of the country who give back to the community and the institution.

Today, A.B.M. College might be known as a small institute in Golmuri, Jamshedpur. But through my service for and with my students, teaching and non-teaching staff in a collaborative and supportive system, I am sure that soon enough we would make a space for ourselves on the national map as an ideal college for learning and development. A college that is known not only for its results but also for its discipline, co-curricular activities, research scholars and an alumnus.

It is my sincere prayer to the almighty to strengthen the purpose of all students, teaching and non-teaching staff of this institution so that we may together take our college to the heights of glory and success, fulfilling the dreams of our founder. Our founder, Prof. Abdul Bari, was a strong, confident, honest and determined labour union leader whose primary aim was serving the society. I pray that all of us inculcate the virtues of our founder and take this institution to the pinnacle of success.

With complete recognition that we have a long way to go, we have embarked on the journey to growth, together.
